About

Malia Graves

My work as a therapist is to support you through challenges, and help you grow and flourish into your best self. As a systemic therapist, I believe our relationships, connections, and community are integral to our emotional health. When life is difficult, our relationships support and help pull us through hard times. My goal is to listen and  help you feel heard, validated, and respected, while guiding you towards your own goals.

My education includes a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with a music minor from Marylhurst University in Oregon, and a Masters of Arts in Couple and Family Therapy from Antioch University Seattle. In my practice I utilize a family systems lens and work with individuals, couples, and families. I integrate a variety of other theories including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment theory, Humanistic, Somatic Experiencing, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Additionally, I occasionally bring in music, art, and play therapy methods to work from a creative and non-verbal perspective. I specialize in working with teens and young adults, couples, sexual minorities and LGBTQ+ individuals. I also am experienced in helping with identity and life transitions, as well as marital and premarital issues. I work collaboratively with my clients to understand your individual experience, increase your self-awareness, create a tailored treatment plan, and find solutions that make sense for you.

If you’re ready to start the conversation, connect with me to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation. Together let’s take the first steps towards a better you!
